about

My name is Abby Shewmaker, and I’m a writer and journalist based in New York City. I’m interested in all things culture, history, and literature. My writing has been published in FLAUNT Magazine, McKinsey.com, The Daily Bruin, Marin Independent Journal, ScreenRant, and the McKinsey Quarterly.

When I’m not writing or reading, I enjoy playing my guitar, engaging long-winded discussions about niche musical theater trivia, sitting around a campfire, and spinning my extensive record collection.
